We recently visited Persia restaurant, found in Newcastle city centre. If the great location isn’t already a sell, this gem is home to all sorts of delicious, great quality middle eastern food, from kebabs and grills, to stews and so much more – check out their Instagram!

Bright and comfortably decorated, we decided to try the upstairs Shisha room, where you and your friends can enjoy the most authentic possible Persian experience, sitting on floor cushions around a low table and sharing a fantastic spread. On the side, there is a wide variety of rice and fresh bites such as olives and proper hummus and flatbread that we couldn’t get enough of. All the food is packed with seasoning and a powerful yet addictive garlic flavour so you’re never left with a bland bite
