Tuck into their incredible pizzas, including nduja and goats cheese finished with honey and sesame seeds, or a simple mushroom and mascarpone; they’re all cooked in Punto’s wood fired pizza oven, so they come out crisp and with that authentic, slightly smokey flavour that we all know and love. 

If none of that takes your interest, how about a Sunday roast? Served every Sunday, choose between beef or pork and tuck in to one of the best Sunday lunches in Newcastle. Also, for those with a sweet tooth, then there’s also a diverse range of desserts, including a flaming cinnamon and apple pizza!

All the food is packed with flavour and has a genuine taste of Italy, owing to the sourcing of many of its ingredients, which attempts to combine an authentic Italian approach with local North East sourcing. The pizza dough is made with flour from Napoli. Pepperoni, we were told, does not exist in Italy and so Punto uses soppressata, a spicy salami that packs a punch and brings a whole lot of flavour to your dish. The attention to detail matters to Punto Italian Kitchen.

When you walk inside Punto Italian Kitchen everything feels so open, light, and clean, with plenty space between tables and extremely comfy seating. The bar is found in the middle of the venue, stocked with some of the best drinks and spirits, and run by friendly staff that are more than happy to have a chat while they pour you a refreshing aperol spritz. However, this venue’s pièce de résistance is their huge wood fired pizza oven, finished in Punto Italian Kitchen’s blue, and always manned by pizzaioli passionately preparing your delicious pizza from incredible doughs and toppings.  The delicate smells roam around the venue straight from the oven, which fully compliments the authentic Italian dining experience.
