Our good friend Fabs over at El Paso Jesmond invited us over for lunch one day. Obviously not wanting to let some top scran and a catch up slip us by, we left in such a hurry our clothes had to catch us up.
As you enter the newly put together restaurant you’re greeted with sugar skulls and some very, very high end Mexican and Spanish interior design. Transporting you from an inconspicuous Osborne road, this former Italian restaurant has you not only in a different country, but a what feels like a completely different continent. I challenge you to find anywhere else in Jesmond that can do that.
They brought us out some classic dishes such as Potatas Bravas and Prawns, but my favourite had to be a gigantic bowl of nachos. I mean this thing was huge. Definitely not intended for one person. We’re talking proper nachos, with the works: sour cream, guacamole, salsa… They also sneaked us some churros. Effing CHURROS! I mean, if there was a heaven, then this was pretty close.
Aside from the exquisite interior and amazing grub, was the banter with the guys there. Fabs has been a close friend and collaborator with us all at Snapsaver for years now. So it wasn’t long before the atmosphere had us all in fits. It seems Fabs has instilled a warm and friendly atmosphere with all of the staff, including the management there. We were all made to feel extra comfortable from the second we walked in the door.
El Paso Jesmond are offering our users 50% off 3 Tapas dishes with a cocktail.
Snapsaver will be rolling out on iOS and Android very soon.
